Self-adhesive vinyl rolls are used in many ways. They can be used for Sticker Signs, Letter Graphics, Backlit Signs, Floor Graphics, Vehicle Wraps, Vehicle Decals, T-shirt Graphics, Glass Decals, Wall Decals, Exit Signs, Road Signs, License Plates, Window Displays, Banners, Directional Signs, Promotional Graphics, and Custom Stickers. These uses make vinyl roll great for indoor and outdoor advertising and branding.
Material inspection, adhesive testing, print quality checks, adhesion strength, and surface defect inspection are needed to ensure consistent, high-quality performance.
Checks the quality of raw materials like PVC, adhesive, and liners. Dimensions are verified to be within ±0.5% tolerance, surface appearance is inspected for defects like scratches or dust, and adhesion strength is tested to ensure initial tack values fall within 5-10 N/25mm. Any material not meeting these specifications is rejected to ensure the final product maintains consistent quality standards.
Use 2-pass and 4-pass settings to see how the ink absorbs gray tones and how vibrant the color is for black tones. The absorption rate should be < 10 seconds, and high-density black (L* value < 20) is checked for how vibrant it is.
Checking initial tack, final peel, and shear strength with the FINAT FTM 1, FTM 2, and FTM 8 methods. Initial tack is how sticky it is within 5 seconds of contact, with a 5-15 N/25mm target range. Final adhesion is how sticky it is after 24 hours, with a target of 15-20 N/25mm. Shear strength is how long it lasts under constant stress before it fails.
Follows ISO 216 standards, ensuring dimensional accuracy. Tolerances are typically within ±1% of specified length and width. A maximum of 1 joint is permitted per 50 meters for roll joints, maintaining consistency across the roll.
